Technical Support Engineer

This is an exciting time for our company! We are in full transition from a European leading service provider of airport equipment solutions to a global leader.

As a Technical Support Engineer you report to the Maintenance Manager. You are based at our headquarters in Steenokkerzeel but will travel more or less 20% of your time. Working closely with colleagues from the headquarter and from the different countries we operate in, you make sure our maintenance activities are at a high level of safety and quality, and in line with the OEM requirements.

For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated colleague who loves a fast-paced environment and international contacts. Next to this you are an analytical talent with a customer oriented mindset.



You will be supporting our business by being responsible for:

  • Support of the maintenance management:
  • Setting up the maintenance schedule for the different types of vehicles;
  • Support with the standardization of the maintenance methods and instructions for the group;
  • Ensure the OEM technical documentation is up to date and available for the group;
  • Setting-up checklists for the maintenance of each vehicle;
  • Follow-up of technical issues with the supplier;
  • Etc.
  • Preparations of reports on maintenance topics
  • Technical support for various projects (innovation, business development,…)
  • Support the set-up of new entities worldwide in terms of maintenance management
  • Audits of fleet and maintenance activities;
  • Provide training and support for all maintenance related topics;
  • Etc.
  • Actively participate in TCR’s OHS process by understanding and complying with the OHS policy, OHS procedures and requirements



  • Is a young graduate or has 2-3 years of experience
  • Holds an engineering (electromechanics) degree or equivalent in experience
  • Has a good understanding on how a thermic, electrical and hydraulic engines work and is eager to learn more about it
  • Has proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Has strong analytical skills
  • Is customer oriented and solution driven
  • Is hands-on
  • Has a critical eye and works accurate
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues, suppliers, etc.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people from various backgrounds
  • Has a good understanding of the OHS
  • Is fluent in English (technical) – both spoken and written, any other language is a plus
  • Willing to travel world wide (up to 20% of his/her time)
  • Lives or willing to reallocate to Belgium. There is no expat contract possible.
