Job Purpose:
This role covers the store's environment to receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, fluid, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site.
Where You’ll Create the Most Impact:
1.Materials issue
To identify and understand the requirement of the technician
Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items
Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
Issue materials to the technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly
Purchase all critical parts from suppliers as and when required
Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations
Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto our ERP-system SAP (in-house software used to manage the day-to-day business)
Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas and out stations as required
Updating Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status
Generate daily report showing the due dates of all critical parts orders
Goods inward:
Check and receive deliveries to site using TCR’s IT system
Unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner
Day to day organization of a goods received quarantine area
Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments
New stock items to be located and labelled as required
Collection of goods from suppliers as and when required
Stock control
Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against inventory as directed
Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached always
Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
Ensure all items are appropriately stored for their size and weight
Ensure all items are located correctly and stock control system is updated with bin location
The Ideal Candidate:
Customer oriented/service delivery focused
Understanding of stores procedures and systems
Ability to work efficiently and accurately with good organizational skills as part of a team or individually
Literate, analytical, numerate with good IT skills
General knowledge of health and safety regulations
Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
Experience in a commercial, GSE or plant machinery parts/stores environment (essential)
Experience and/or desire to work in a customer focused environment (essential)
Experience in the vehicle maintenance sector (essential)
Experience in a busy Parts Department (essential)
Ability to deal effectively with people at different levels
Ability to work in a logical and structured manner, keeping excellent records and a disciplined approach to data management and filing
Flexible and dependable with a proactive approach to your work
