Parts Stores Person

We have an exciting opportunity in TCR UK Limited at our prestigious site at London Heathrow which is the second busiest airport in the world. We are looking for experienced Parts Stores Person to come and join our team. 



Working Hours  

The working days for this position are 7 days on, 3 days off, 7 days on, 4 days off - earlies and lates.  A 30 minute unpaid lunch break may be taken. This constitutes a basic average working week of 40 hours.

Main Purpose of the Job 


This role covers the stores environment to receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, fluid, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a busy Parts Department, training will be provided in all TCR processes and procedures. The role will require travel to other TCR locations to cover absence.



Main Duties and Responsibilities


Materials Issue 

  • To identify and understand the requirement of the technician  

  • Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items 

  • Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner 

  • Issue materials to the GSE Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly 

  • Purchase all critical parts from suppliers as and when required   

  • Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations 

  • Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto ELC (in-house software used to manage the day to day business) 

  • Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required 

  • Updating Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status 

  • Generate daily report showing the due dates of all critical parts orders  


Goods Inward     

  • Check and receive deliveries to site using TCR’s IT system 

  • Unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner 

  • Drive company Fork Lift Truck (dependent on license) 

  • Day to day organisation of a goods received quarantine area 

  • Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments 

  • New stock items to be located and labeled as required 


Stock Control    

  • Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against inventory 

  • Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached always 

  • Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items

  • Ensure all items are appropriately stored for their size and weight 



  • Experience in a commercial or plant machinery parts/stores environment (essential)Experience in the vehicle maintenance sector

  • Experience and/or desire to work in a customer focused environment (essential) 

  • Experience in the vehicle maintenance sector (essential) 



  • Good general level of education (e.g. GCSE's or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of mechanical/engineering (desirable) 

  • Full, clean driving license (essential)
